APSP Journal of Case Reports is owned and published by The Association of Paediatric Surgeons of Pakistan (Registered). APSP J Case Rep is an open access, peer reviewed electronic journal.Â
Our primary mission is to provide a portal for residents in training and junior consultants to get their research published. This shall be a learning opportunity as well. It will also help in developing research culture.
APSP J Case Rep requires the expressed transfer of copyright to the publisher so that protection from the misuse of copyrighted material is ensured.
All articles appearing in this publication, including editorials, letters etc represent the opinions of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or opinions of the APSP. Peer Review Process
APSP Journal of Case Reports is a peer reviewed journal. It follows double blind review i.e. both the authors and reviewers are kept unidentified during review. Every manuscript is sent to atleast two reviewers. In case of conflict in the review, a third review from a third reviewer can be performed to resolve the problem. Atleast one external peer review and one internal editorial review is mandatoy to reach the decision.
Reviewer Guidelines
Please log in to your account with username and password provided during registration.
If you have forgotten your password please use "Forget Password" option given on the log in page and reset your password by a two-step process. Upon your request for password, you will be asked for providing email address which one was used during registration process. After that a link will be emailed to the user. On clicking the link, an other email containing the new password will be sent to the user. With that password, a new password can be reset after logging in.
After logging in, click on the active manuscripts "number, like 1" which would take you to the manuscripts to be reviewed. Click on the title of manuscript which would lead to the main reviewer page containing manuscript information and review steps 1-7 in number.
Step 1: Click on the "envelop icon" for  "will do the review" to email the editor to indicate your willingness. or vice versa.
Step 3: After accepting review, the step 2 will show the manuscript file along with supplementary files (Figures and tables). The reviewer can download these files and review these. Reviewers can download review forms for Case Reports, Letter to Editor, Images
Step 4: Indicate competing interests if any.
Step 5: Give your comments for authors and editors separately.
Step 6: Upload comments file, or reviewer form, or manuscript file with suggested changes in step 5.
Step 7: Select one of your recommendations and click “Submit review to editorâ€

Publication Frequency
APSP Journal of Case Reports Now publishes 4 issues per year (Sep-2017 onward).

First Issue (Jan-March) is published on Last week of January
Second Issue (Apr-Jun) is published on Last week of AprilÂ
Third Issue (Jul-Sep) is published on last week of July
Fourth Issue (Oct-Dec) is published on last week of October

The editorial team tries its best to comply the time schedule, however a delay of 5-10 days may occur in case of some publishing related delays.

Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
